Simply breathing in the air of Bodhgaya instills a feeling of extreme positivity which is enough to wash off every negativity you’d have collected in life until now.

The most important pilgrimage of the four main Buddhist pilgrimages, Mahabodhi Temple of Bodhgaya was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002. And it is not the only place of worship in Bodhgaya. You’ll find several monasteries and temples in Bodhgaya which have been built with reverence by the people of Nepal, Bhutan, China, Tibet, Sikkim, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, and Myanmar. With each pilgrimage, foundation was laid for an architectural wonder which is a reflection of Budhha’s impact on each one of them.
